Ticketing Policies, Terms, & Conditions

Please be aware charges will appear on your statement as Chapman Uni Events.

Ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Ticket is void after date and time listed on front. Late seating is at the discretion of the management. Food and Drink are not permitted inside many Chapman venues. Pets are not allowed; only service animals will be permitted. Personal photography and video at Chapman events is not permitted. Backpacks and large bags are not allowed in Chapman venues.

Take care of your ticket, as it cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed and is valid only for the event and, if applicable, the assigned seat printed on the ticket. This ticket is a revocable license to attend the event on the front of the ticket and is subject to additional terms found with the event description located at tickets.chapman.edu. This ticket admits one and is void if altered. Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be resold for more than face-value, or on the grounds of Chapman University. Complimentary tickets are not exchangeable or redeemable for any benefit. Ticket holder assumes all risks occurring before, during and after the ticketed event including but not limited to injury to person or property by any cause, and hereby releases Chapman University, its trustees, employees, volunteers, students, affiliates, insurers, and agents from and against any related claims. Entry to the event constitutes consent for Chapman University to use any film, video, name or likeness of the ticketholder for educational and promotional purposes without compensation to the ticketholder. It is agreed between a ticketholder and Chapman University that all related claims will first be mediated in front of a mutually agreed neutral in Orange County, California, and if not resolved, all such related claims may only be litigated in Orange County, California.

Exchanges

Exchanges may be done up until one business day prior to an event. Exchanges are not permitted on the day of the event or after an event has taken place. Exchanges may only be done over the phone or in person at this time. Exchanges are subject to a $5 order fee due at the time of service.

Unlawful Resale of Tickets; Promotions

Unlawful resale (or attempted resale), counterfeit or copy of tickets is grounds for revocation and cancellation without compensation. Certain maximum resale premiums and restrictions may apply and we cannot be responsible for providing advice regarding resale or pricing of tickets. You are responsible for complying with all applicable ticket resale laws. In addition, we reserve the right to restrict or deny ticket purchasing privileges to anyone that we determine to be, or has been, in violation of our policies. Because we do not guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from any non-authorized third party reseller (such as brokers or individuals), we recommend that you purchase tickets directly through Chapman University or authorized partners to ensure ticket authenticity. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests, fundraising, or sweepstakes, unless formal written authorization is given by us.

Gift Cards

The reloadable gift card (the “Card”) may be used toward any eligible item sold on tickets.chapman.edu. The Card is non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. The Card has no expiration date and does not charge a fee. If a purchase exceeds the Card balance, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method.

The Card cannot be resold; used for payment outside of tickets.chapman.edu; used for unauthorized advertising, marketing, sweepstakes, promotional or commercial purposes, including to facilitate the resale or shipment of goods from tickets.chapman.edu; redeemed for more than face value; transferred for value; redeemed for cash; or returned for a cash refund (except to the extent required by law).

The risk of loss and title for the Card passes to the purchaser upon our electronic transmission of the Card to the purchaser or designated recipient, or our delivery to the carrier, whichever is applicable. The Card must be obtained from tickets.chapman.edu, and you are responsible for safeguarding the Card from unauthorized use. Chapman University is not responsible if any Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed, or if the Card is used without your permission. Purchase or use of the Card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

License; Ejection and Cancellation; No Redemption Value

You agree to comply with all of Chapman University’s applicable rules, policies, terms and conditions. Chapman University and its various departments reserve the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who fails to comply with university rule and regulations. Breach of terms or rules will terminate your license to attend the event without refund. A ticket is not redeemable for cash.

A ticket is not a property right, but rather a limited license for entry into an event, which may be revoked at any time by Chapman University. Chapman University reserves the right to cancel and refund all or part of a ticket order. Persons in attendance at ticketed events are subject to applicable Chapman University rules and policies.

You Are Subject to Search

You and your belongings may be searched on entry to the event. You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Under Chapman University rules, certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, weapons, cameras, recording devices, laser pointers, strobe lights, irritants (e.g., artificial noisemakers), oversized bags and containers.

Recording, Transmission and Exhibition

You agree that the event for which you purchased a ticket is in the public view, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the event. You grant permission to Chapman University and the Event Provider(s) to utilize your name, image, likeness, acts, poses, plays, appearance, movements, and statements in any live or recorded audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the event (regardless of whether before, during or after play or performance) for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or hereafter developed, without further authorization from, or compensation to, you or anyone acting on your behalf.

By purchasing or accepting tickets to an event, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions and other rules of the specific event and the venue where the specific event is being held. Links to venue and/or event terms and conditions that are specific to the use of tickets to such events or at such venues can be found within each event and venue’s branded area. We recommend that you review the official terms and conditions and other rules of each event and venue to which you hold tickets, as may be available directly from the event or venue.
