Thompson Policy Institute presents:
2023 Summit on Disability and Inclusion

The Thompson Policy Institute on Disability (TPI) hosts the annual Summit on Disability and Inclusion to highlight best practices that support the lives of people with disabilities by advancing inclusivity for all. The presentations at the 2023 Summit will focus on current research and practice in the areas of policy, inclusive education, transition services, and teacher education. The presentations at the Summit will be of interest to self-advocates, families, educators, teacher education faculty, medical professionals, business leaders, and service providers.
   
The keynote presenter for the Summit is Dr. Shelley Moore, a highly sought after teacher, researcher, consultant and storyteller. Dr. Moore has worked with school districts and community organizations throughout both Canada and the United States. Her research and work has been featured at national and international conferences and is constructed based on theory and effective practices of inclusion, special education, curriculum and teacher professional development. Her first book entitled, “One Without the Other” was released in July 2016 to follow up her TEDx talk hosted in Langley in January 2016. 
   
A continental breakfast will be served on the lawn in front of Musco Center for the Arts before the Summit from 8:00 - 9:00 am.
